1. Who we are (data controller)

SortedPay is operated by Lucro Limited, a private company limited by shares registered in the Republic of Ireland.

In this policy, "SortedPay", "we", "our", and "us" mean Lucro Limited. Lucro Limited is the data controller for personal data processed through SortedPay.

2. What SortedPay is

SortedPay is invoicing software for freelancers and retainers. It covers invoices, quotes, contacts, reminder and chase emails, and statutory late-payment interest estimates for UK, Northern Ireland, and Ireland B2B work. Some marketing tools (the calculator and templates) work without an account.

3. What we collect

  • Account data: email and password, plus session data needed to sign you in.
  • Workspace data: business profile, bank details you enter, contacts, invoices, quotes, and reminder preferences.
  • Billing data: Stripe customer id, subscription id, email, and payment status. Card data stays with Stripe.
  • Email data: when you send an invoice or chase, the message and the To, CC, and BCC addresses you set.
  • Technical logs: IP address, user agent, and request path may appear in server logs for security and debugging.

4. How data is stored

  • Server workspace: workspace snapshots live on our server, isolated per user account. A paid stranger receives an empty Pro workspace. Lucro Limited's own books stay on the owner account.
  • Hosting: the service runs on a VPS in the EU.
  • Email send: when you send an invoice or chase, we deliver it through Resend from the sortedpay.app domain. Nothing is sent automatically.
  • Payments: Stripe bills Pro for Lucro Limited at €15 per month or €150 per year, euro only. We do not store card numbers.

5. Why we process data

  • Provide the SortedPay product (invoices, quotes, contacts, reminders, calculators)
  • Create and secure accounts, and isolate each workspace
  • Bill Pro through Stripe and keep subscription status current
  • Send invoice and chase email when you ask us to
  • Improve reliability and fix bugs
  • Meet legal obligations

Legal bases under GDPR include contract (providing the service you request), legitimate interests (security, product improvement), and consent where required.

6. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

  • Infrastructure hosts that run the service (VPS hosting in the EU)
  • Stripe, which bills Pro for Lucro Limited
  • Resend, which delivers invoice and chase email from the sortedpay.app domain
  • Authorities when required by law

7. Retention

Workspace and account data are kept while your account is active. When you delete an account (or request deletion), we delete or anonymise personal data within 30 days unless law requires longer retention. Stripe may keep payment records as needed to operate the subscription.

8. Your rights

If you are in the UK or EEA/EU, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact [email protected]. You may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (Ireland) at dataprotection.ie, or with your local supervisory authority.

9. Children

SortedPay is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We will update this page when the product changes. The "Last updated" date will change. Material changes may also be notified in-product or by email.
